Dale Farm has increased its milk price for February.

A 1p/l increase brings it base to 28.55p/l, which includes the co-op’s 0.3p/l loyalty payment.

The February increase is the second month in succession that Dale Farm has raised its base by 1p/l and comes on the back of improved market returns.

Glanbia Cheese is also adding 1p/l to its base price for February, putting its suppliers on a starting price of 28p/l.

Last week, Lakeland Dairies announced a 0.7p/l increase for its NI suppliers.

This puts its base on 28.25p/l and includes the co-op’s 1p/l bonus payment for the fourth month is a row.
