Enniscorthy will host Ireland’s largest battle re-enactment, the recreation of the 1798 Battle of Vinegar Hill. Taking place on 1-3 August, visitors can learn about the heroic pikemen of 1798, see blacksmiths preparing for battle or they can enlist to take part and relive a momentous scene in Ireland’s history.
