Mazda in Ireland has confirmed the prices for the new Mazda2, the fourth car to use Mazda’s SKYACTIV technology. The car will be on sale from March this year with entry prices starting at €15,995 for the 1.5 litre petrol model.
The new car has the signature 'wing' front grille and predatory headlamp styling of the new generation Mazda family. The car will be available in four level specification grades, SE, Executive, Executive SE and GT plus optional style packs available.
The new Mazda2 will be available in three engine derivatives, SKYACTIV-G 75bhp or 90bhp and SKYACTIV-D 105bhp with a four level specification grade structure. The entry model has CO2 emissions from just 89g/km putting it into the A2 tax band costing €180 per year.
The new cars get the benefit of Mazda’s MZD Connect in-car connectivity system which incorporates a range of i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technology. This includes a 7 inch touch screen for ease of use.
