A fine 79ac tillage farm has come on the market at Crecora, Co Limerick. The farm is at Kilpeacon and is being sold by GVM Limerick. It will be sold by public auction by GVM Property and the guide price is in excess of €1m.

The farm will be sold with entitlements to the EU Basic Payment Scheme. There is also the option to buy a stylish, two-storey detached house adjoining the land that includes large mature gardens.

This farm is in a convenient location. It’s 11km south of Limerick city – a 15-minute drive. It’s 6km from the M20/N20 Limerick-to-Cork route, at Patrickswell. It’s 13km from Adare.

This fine house adjoins the farm and is for sale separately.

The land has extensive frontage on the Kilpeacon Cross and Crecora road. There is also access on to the Fedamore road.

The land is described by the auctioneers as high quality and suitable for all farm enterprises. There are three main fields, all regular in shape. There is a natural water supply from an adjoining stream and a private well located on the land. The entitlements are worth approximately €9,000 per anum at current values.

The farm previously hosted the National Ploughing Championship, which farmers would regard as an indication the ground has good soil.

The auction will take place in GVM’s Limerick City Auction Rooms on Friday 22 October at 3pm. It will also run online on the LSL platform. Everyone wishing to attend the auction or bid online must register in advance.

“This is definitely one of the finest farms that has come to the market in the Limerick area in recent years,” says GVM auctioneer Tom Crosse.

To find the farm, from Limerick proceed out to Fedamore, turning right at Kilpeacon Cross for Crecora. The farm is on the left-hand side of the road. GVM signs thereon. Access also from the main Fedamore road.
