The Arion 400 range includes six models that range in power from 90hp to 140hp. Due to the varied work that tractors this size are expected to do, within these six models there is a range of specification options.
Under the bonnet is an FPT Tier 4 engine with SCR technology, which drives through a 16x16 Quadrishift transmission.
Three cab options are also available, including the Panoramic cab with a one-piece windscreen and roof panel, which recently won an iF Design award.
The Arion 430 (110hp) to 460 (140hp) models will now be available with a new cab suspension system for both the standard and the Panoramic cab versions.
Following its limmited release last year, the Claas Atos range of 76hp to 109hp tractors is now fully available
The suspension system features two silent rubber blocks at the front of the cab and two suspension units under the rear, as well as an anti-sway bar. With the new suspension system, the cab height is increased by 35mm.
Currently, the Arion 400 range is available with a 100 litre/minute twin pump, a load-sensing system with a 60l/min pump supplying the spools and a 40l/min pump for the rear linkage. For a higher flow rate, for instance when using a loader, these can be joined together to supply a high flow rate.
For 2016, this will be changed so that the spools will be served by a 40 l/min pump with a 60 l/min pump for the rear linkage but, as before, these can then be joined to provide a 100 l/min flow rate for loader work.
ATOS now fully available
Following its announcement and limited release last year, the Claas Atos range of 76hp to 109hp tractors is now fully available.
With the addition of the Atos to the existing Elios, Arion 400 and Arion 500 options, Claas now offers a total of 18 distinct three- and four-cylinder models, one of the largest ranges below 160hp.
Atos comprises six models: three three-cylinder 200 models with power outputs of 76hp, 88hp and 97hp, as well as three four-cylinder 300 models with power outputs of 88hp, 102hp and 109hp.
According to Claas, the Atos features robust and simple technology, but with a wide range of options, making it versatile. Its compact design and excellent manoeuvrability make it the ideal option for all kinds of farm work.
Under the bonnet, there is a Stage IIIb/Tier 4i-compliant Farmotion engine with a cubic capacity of 3.8 litres on 300 series models and 2.9 litres on the 200 series.
The engines feature a common rail injection system, turbocharger and charge air cooler and are fitted with a diesel oxidation catalytic converter (DOC) and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system.
The catalytic converter is integrated under the bonnet leaving clear all-round visibility. Claas says the high torque values of up to 436 Nm mean that the Atos is extremely responsive to drive.
To meet the range of market needs demanded of the Atos, three different transmission options are available. The basic manual transmission provides 10 forward and 10 reverse speeds, but for those wanting more sophistication, there is the option of the 20/20 Twinshift with two powershift speeds or the 30/30 Trishift with three powershifts. All transmission variants are available with either a mechanical or the clutchless Revershift reverser.
PTO options include either 540/540 Eco 1000/1000/Eco. An automatic power take-off system and a separate groundspeed power take-off for powering trailers are also available optionally.
Smart Stop
A new feature that will be particularly useful for jobs that require frequent stopping or starting, such as when using a loader or round-baling, is Smart Stop. Available on tractors fitted with Revershift, when activated using a button on the dashboard, when the brake pedal is pressed, Smart Stop will automatically de-clutch the transmissions, so that stopping and starting is carried out just using the brake pedal.
