This Saturday, the FTMTA will host its second unreserved machinery auction at the Punchestown Event Centre. Alistair Chambers previews some of what will be on offer.
This is one of about six feeders on offer at the FTMTA machinery auction. This particular machine is in good working order and could be value on the day.
This Jeantil straw blower looks to be in good order and should have many years of work ahead of it.
A 2012 4m Vadertstad Strip-still seed and fertiliser drill with just 1,600ha (3,954 ac) recorded. A machine like this can work directly into tilled or non-tilled ground.
This 2015 JCB workmax 1000 is a very fresh and tidy vehicle with a fully enclosed cab and is also equipped with 4WD
A 4WD Massey Ferguson 4270 tractor with 12x12 transmission and just 3,989 hours on the clock should garner a lot of interest.
This Kubota ST 30 compact tractor and loader comes with only 2480 hours, 4 wheel drive and three double acting spool valves
This 2007 Scania P420 LA 6x2 Tractor Unit is one of two Scanias on offer both with valid tests. This particular one has all the kit on board for towing fuel tankers.
Auctions are becoming a common occurrence in Ireland, with the FTMTA having held a very successful one at the end of September last year. A massive crowd attended and both buyers and sellers were happy with the deals done on the day.
Following on from the success of that auction, a second one will take place this Saturday 24 February.
This will be run in conjunction with Wilsons auctions and, for the first time ever at an Irish auction, pre-approved finance will be available from Finance Ireland.

FTMTA CEO Gary Ryan said: “This unreserved auction is being run in support of our members. We had a very successful auction last year and want to build on this. Wilsons auctioneers have years of experience and will be a huge asset on the day to FTMTA members and prospective customers”.
To add further support for customers, representatives from Finance Ireland are willing to pre-authorise finance for machinery that is in reasonable condition and manufactured after 2004.
In the days preceding the auction, they will be present in Punchestown to answer any questions customers may have.
Looking through the list of entries, there will be pieces of kit for every type of buyer from the big spenders to the bargain hunters. It looks like there will be at least 200 lots for sale on the day.
