The Global Dairy Trade (GDT) price index has dropped 4.1% to an average price of €3,647/t at the latest auction held on Tuesday 1 July 2025.
Just two commodities traded at this auction were up in value - butter milk powder which was up 9.3% to €2,665/t as well as lactose, up 4.2% to €1,173/t.
Whole milk powder experienced the biggest price fall of any product traded, decreasing 5.1% to €3,292/t.

Butter was down 4.3% to €6,418/t and anhydrous milk fat was down 4.2% to €5,911/t.
Cheddar also saw its price drop, falling 2.8% to €4,147/t as well as mozzarella which was down 0.2% to €4,087/t and skim milk powder down 1.7% to €2,319/t.
