Midlands-based auctioneering firm, Hennessy Auctioneers were due to kick of this year’s monthly machinery auctions on 23 January. However, the decision has since been taken to cancel this month’s auction in response to the increased number of COVID-19 cases throughout the country. This decision, according to the company is also line with updated COVID-19 protocols issued by the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA), a regulatory body for auctioneers.

John Hennessy told the Irish Farmers Journal: “We will continue to monitor the situation and hopefully be back up and running in February. At the moment the next auction is provisionally scheduled for Saturday 20 February, this will depend entirely on restrictions and case numbers in the meantime.”
