This week, we profile the three candidates running for the position of president of the Irish Farmers’ Association. All three were interviewed at the start of this week and we are profiling them in alphabetic order.

At this stage, the IFA is planning to host a debate in every county. Assuming four debates per week, the process will span seven weeks. It is a gruelling schedule and one that is unlikely to allow for proper debate on policy issues. County chairs should apply common sense and look to arrange more regional meetings where suitable.
