A clearance auction of a significant fleet of contracting machinery took place on Friday 13 March.

A large crowd of machinery enthusiasts came from all over the country to attend the auction, where there was significant interest in many of the lots. A total of over 120 lots were up for grabs.

The auction was hosted by Michael Doyle Auctions on behalf of Emmanuel Barry, a retiring agricultural contractor.

All lots were subject to 23% VAT plus 5% commission. The 5% commission is also subject to 23% VAT.

In pictures: the sales

This 2016 John Deere 6195R came with front linkage and PTO, air brakes and four electric spools. Equipped with an AutoQuad transmission and 5,163 hours on the clock, it was unsold at €76,000.

This 2014 Deutz Agrotron 6160 kitted out with a Quicke Q66 front-loader had 3,464 hours on the clock. It sold for €45,000 plus commission and VAT.

This 2009 Deutz X720 kitted out with front linkage and PTO had just 3,875 hours on the odometer. It sold for €50,000 plus commission and VAT.

This 2008 John Deere 7830 was fitted with front linkage and PTO. Showing just 3,186 hours, it sold for €45,000 plus commission and VAT.

This 2008 John Deere 6330 had just 4,430 hours on the clock and went unsold at €25,000.

This 2004 John Deere 6920S had 10,600 hours on the clock and sold for €26,000 plus commission and VAT.

This 2006 John Deere 6920S had 9,596 hours on the clock and sold for €25,000 plus commission and VAT.

This 2005 John Deere 6920 had 7,747 hours on the clock and went unsold at €23,500.
