Earlier this year, Pöttinger introduced two new additions to its Terradisc range. The new models have working widths of up to 8m and 10m, compared to the previous maximum offering of 6m.

Atkins Farm Machinery is set to display and demo the Terradisc 10001T at this year’s Ploughing. The 10001T is the larger 10m disc harrow. This trailed machine offers a working depth between 5cm and 15cm. Pöttinger claims this machine can work at speeds of up to 18km/h.

At the headland, the Terradisc T is raised onto the suspension of the rear roller, so its weight is distributed across the whole working width. The Terradisc has two solid forged carrier arms welded to a very wide clamping bracket. This is to ensure that the discs always retain their position and angle. The 10m version has a central and hydraulic working depth setting with jockey wheels that’s easy to adjust as standard. This is optional on the 8001 T.

The monster disc harrow is available with a number of rear roller options, including the cage roller, pack ring roller, rubber packer roller and tandem conoroll.

Despite the large working width, the Terradisc T is relatively compact during transport.

The chassis has an integrated folding and transport system for road transport with a transport height of 4m and a transport width of 3m. Air brakes or hydraulic brakes are available.

Preselect functions are used to control the machine as standard. Three double-acting spool valves are required. An Isobus compatible control system and load sensing hydraulics are available as added option, through the new Expert 75 ISOBUS terminal, a touchscreen and scroll wheel terminal.
