The first of two shows in the Dancing for Living series, organised by Cork man, Barry O’Halloran, in support of Suicide Awareness, takes place in The Hazel Tree in Mallow on Monday night, 3 March. The show will feature Declan Aungier, Michael Collins and Gay Brazel.

Barry has a second show lined up for the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel on Friday, 7 March, and this features Paddy O’Brien, Lana Gibson, Bernie Heaney and Noel Glynn. Local man Kevin Lalor-Fitzpatrick from Raheen will compere the night.

The new single from Barry, A Whisper of Hope, will be performed by Barry at both shows. The Cork man is appealing for good support for this worthy cause at the dances in Mallow and Abbeyleix.

It’s Jive Jive Jive from Seany Mac

Seany Mac is back on the scene with a brand new uptempo single, Jive Jive Jive. The young man from near Belleek, Co Fermanagh, turned 21 in recent weeks and also enjoyed a major weekend of celebrations in Bundoran and Carrick-on-Shannon.

“I want to thank all the dancers who came out to see myself and the band in 2013 and also the promoters who give us the opportunity to play in their venues throughout the country.

“I am very grateful to the many radio presenters for the airplay and their great support.

“I also want to thank everyone who bought my album and requested my songs on local radio. I hope to meet all my friends during the year ahead,” says Seany.
