A cold windy day today, with highest temperatures of 5°C to 8°C. Wintry showers will be frequent over Ulster and north Connacht during the morning, but the showers will be more scattered elsewhere. The afternoon will have better dry intervals with occasional bursts of sunshine. Northwesterly winds will remain strong and gusty for the day.
