The Irish Farmers Journal has grown its weekly readership by 8,000 to 263,000 weekly readers, according to independently audited readership figures released last Friday, 18 October.

Kantar Media is a global organisation that measures newspaper readership through its annual TGI survey.

The 2019 survey has revealed that the Irish Farmers Journal is now the fastest growing national newspaper title in the Republic of Ireland.

This 3.14% increase in our print readership reinforces the Irish Farmers Journal’s position as the most read agricultural publication across Ireland and the UK.

The survey reveals the Irish Farmers Journal is now reaching a younger audience, with 35% of our readership now under 35 years of age.Commenting on the survey results, editor and chief executive Justin McCarthy said: “We are delighted to see a growing number of readers engage with the Irish Farmers Journal each week.

A weekly readership of 263,000 is a strong endorsement of our editorial strategy which centres on producing high-quality unique content that is trusted and valued by our readers.”
