With the difficult weather conditions playing havoc with the Mullingar schedule, the Horseware/TRM Premier Series was forced to move into the international arena. Following two hardfought rounds, it was Jordan Coyle and VDL Cassius that took the honours and the lion’s share of the €24,500 in the Ballynegall Feeds-sponsored class. Going late in the draw, Coyle wasted no time as he delivered a double-clear in 34.74 seconds.
Despite the heavy rain and wind, eight riders went through to the timed round. First to go with just a single time fault was Seamus Hayes and Baricello W. Hayes added no further penalties to his score and his time of 39.1 seconds saw him slot into eventual fourth. Also carrying a single time fault from the first round was Susan Fitzpatrick and Cavalino. With things not going to according to plan for Fitzpatrick in the second round, she opted to retire finishing eighth.
Ger O’Neill wasted no time with Go For It 2 and his time of 35.49 seconds proved good enough for the runner-up spot. Keen to clock up a win, Catherine Thornton and Derryinver Luxury Cruise made up time and saw her clock 37.65 for eventual third.

Next in, Edward Doyle maintained the pressure as he took all the tight lines with Mullaghdrin Touch The Stars and his four faults in 36.74 proved good enough for fifth place. Sophie Dalm also incurred four faults with Remake Lande but in the slower time of 37.78 seconds for sixth.
