The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) is investigating the death of a farmer in Co Kerry which occurred on Monday 2 September.
Gardaí stated that the man was in his 70s was involved in an incident in Abbeydorney, Co Kerry and that they were investigating his sudden death.
It is understood that the farmer may have been trying to retrieve a calf from a slurry tank and fell in.
The body was removed to Kerry University Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
This marks the thirteenth farm fatality to date this year.
