LacPatrick has held its milk price for April at 28.7c/l excluding VAT for suppliers in the Republic of Ireland and added a top-up payment of 1.75c/l.

This means that farmers will be paid a total of 30.36c/l excluding VAT (32c/l including VAT).

Farmers in Northern Ireland will receive a base milk price of 25p/l and a top-up of 1.5p/l, which will equal 25.1p/l excluding VAT (26.5p/l including VAT).

Last month the co-op cut their milk price by 2.5c/l for suppliers in the Republic and 2p/l for farmers in the North.

The co-op is currently assessing its options with a possible merger on the cards.

Other co-ops

The board of Aurivo co-op has agreed to pay a milk price of 28.94c/l excluding VAT for April manufacturing milk.

This is made up of a base price of 28.46c/l and a 0.47c/l seasonality payment in recognition of the difficult spring Aurivo suppliers have endured.

Lakelands announced that it is leaving its base price unchanged for suppliers in the Republic of Ireland at 30.15c/l, excluding VAT and will pay a top-up payment of 1.5c/l.

Meanwhile, the co-op is paying 26.5p/l to its suppliers in Northern Ireland. This includes a support payment of 1.5p/l.

Dairygold made a 1c/l cut to its milk price and will pay 29.41c/l excluding VAT, including 0.47cpl quality bonus for April supplies. This is based on standard constituents of 3.3% Protein and 3.6% butterfat.
