STAMP Festival of Creativity, Cork city - 19-21 May

Corkonians and visitors to the people’s republic will be treated to a jam-packed programme of over 50 free art, design and craft events, exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, screenings and markets, all in one extraordinary venue - The Counting House.

It is the first event to take place in the former Beamish brewery, recently restored by BAM.

Try screen-printing, basket weaving, pottery wheel throwing and frame making. Some workshops and demos are ticketed, so you might like to book ahead.

STAMP invites people of all ages to come and explore your own creativity in this new addition to Cork’s cultural cityscape.

A magical, musical medley of performance, art and interaction awaits you in the lush surroundings of Lough Key Forest Park this June.

West Cork Chamber Music Festival, Bantry, Co Cork - 23 June to 2 July

Established in 1995, West Cork Chamber Music Festival has grown to be one of Europe’s premiere chamber music festivals, attracting world-class musicians to the beautiful west Cork town of Bantry every summer since.

Performance highlights will include cellist Leonard Elschenbroich, the Calathea Quartet, The Biber Mystery Sonatas performed by Ensemble Vintage Koln, with newly commissioned poems by Ruth Padel, but the big draw is getting away from it all, soaking up the atmosphere and making new friends in magical Bantry bay.

Clonmel Junction Arts Festival, Co Tipperary - 1-9 July

Clonmel Junction Arts Festival is a multi-disciplinary arts festival providing a platform for regional and national artists, which also celebrates the town of Clonmel and the talented artists who live and work there.

The Chapel venue will host piano sessions featuring a host of concerts in all genres around this iconic instrument, including a new Roger Doyle commission for Cora Venus Lunny, an intriguing piece for dance, soprano and piano by renowned choreographer John Scott and Irish Modern Dance Theatre, and performances by Aileen Cahill with Andreea Banciu, and local composer/performer Eamon O’Malley.

The festival will also premiere new pieces of theatre. Highlights include: HUCKLEBUCK, an immersive homage to the howband area, directed by Jack Reardon and designed by Jack Scullion; and a new Tipperary play, co-produced with partners Source Arts Centre in Thurles.
