Jarlath Henderson Band

23 February: Singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and doctor, Jarlath Henderson, will be performing at Monroe’s Live in Galway. The Armagh native is renowned for his astonishing prowess on uilleann pipes and whistles, while emerging as a gifted vocalist who continues to turn heads. Jarlath is the youngest-ever winner of the BBC Young Folk Award and is recognised in the folk world for his firebrand partnership with Scottish piper Ross Ainslie. William Caulfield

23 February: To celebrate the centenary year of the birth of James Young, comedian William Caulfield is touring with his new theatre show, which is coming to the Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre, Armagh. One Hundred Years of “Our Jimmy” will feature original and new material from the beloved comedy characters of Lily O’Condriac, Big Derek, Orange Lil, Willie Simpson, the Ballymena Man and wee Sammy the Schoolboy, delighting fans new and old who enjoy Ulster humour. Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me

22 February: Running to 24 February at Siamsa Tíre in Tralee, this production by Decadent Theatre Company revolves around an American doctor, an Irish journalist and an English academic. Three characters who have little to unite them beyond being human and secluded in the same small space. Inspired by the abduction of Brian Keenan, taken hostage in Lebanon in the 1980s, Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me is playwright Frank McGuinness’s ode to the defiant power of the human spirit and the creative imagination.
