Well-known sprayer manufacturer Berthoud has launched the new Tracker 4000 trailed sprayer, which it says was developed on the back of customer demands. The new model slots into the range to fill the gap between the entry-level 3000 model and the company’s high-spec Vantage offering.

The single-axle machine comes with the option of Axiale and Axiale B3 booms, with two- or three-fold options, with the boom available in widths from 24m to 33m. The booms, with full suspension, are available with ultrasonic sensors for automated boom height control.

In terms of the spray pump, buyers can choose between the proven BP 280 piston diaphragm unit as standard, offering 235 litres/min, or opt for the higher-spec Hardi 330 litres/min system for increased capacity. Buyers can choose from one metre section control, or individual nozzle shut-off. Berthoud has said that continuous circulation is an option, with RTS low pressure priming and AGP continuous circulation.

Berthoud says the new hoods have been designed to provide easier access. A clever design allows the rinsing tank to be lifted, for convenient access to the pump for servicing. During operation, the valves and pump assembly, behind the rinsing tank, is protected from spray and mud projections.

In terms of styling, the Tracker adopts a new chassis and boom colour scheme with a more modern and distinctive look, while preserving the iconic tank colour. The new sprayer will be tested in the field in 2026 and set to enter production soon after.
