Bednar, the Czech manufacturer has added a new 12.3m model to its Galaxy GE Cambridge roller range. The new model joins the current 6.3m and 8.3m offerings introduced just last year.
The new Galaxy GE 12300 features a heavily reinforced chassis leaving it suitable to supporting its five roller sections, contributing to its overall weight which nears 10,000kg. The frame is compatible with a front levelling bar or Alfa Drill 800 seeding unit.
Bednar use a compression spring mounted at the end of the shaft exerts constant pressure on all the segments.

As with the other rollers in the range, the cast iron segments are mounted alternately which sees a smooth segment (diameter 500 mm) followed by a toothed segment (diameter 530 mm). Unique to Bednar use a compression spring mounted at the end of the shaft exerts constant pressure on all the segments, thus limiting the appearance of play in the system.
Leveling paddles and an air fitted to the frame.
The hydraulic system has also been renewed to ensure that the weight of the roller is evenly distributed across all five sections. Hydraulic track eradicators are optionally available while 500/50 R17 tyres are standard.
