Tanco

Tanco showcased its 1400-V trailed twin-satellite wrapper alongside its mounted S-200V twin-dispenser unit.

The 1400-V claims an output of up to 110 bales/hour and features a unique split table design, which quickly allows the next bale to be lifted while the wrapped bale is dropped off. The 1400-V can be used in fully automatic mode, whereby the entire loading and wrapping sequence takes place automatically. The wrapping position places the bale in front of the axle, distributing weight across the low ground pressure wheels and the tractor. The S-Series comprises three models: S100-V, S200-V and S300-V; with single, twin and triple wrap-dispensing arms, which also fold for safer transport. The model demonstrated was the popular S200-V and like its counterparts, offers the ability to wrap and stack in a single operation. Variable speed control is also standard specification, along with Tanco’s telescopic, automatic hydraulic Cut and Start system.

McHale Orbital

The McHale Orbital round bale wrapper is a fully automatic unit. It is designed around a vertical wrapping ring system, which has been proven in its Fusion combination unit for many years. With this, the bale remains stationary while a rotating ring applies the film. The wrapper features twin 750mm aluminium dispensers, which operate at speeds of up to 40 rotations per minute.

McHale claims this allows the machine to apply four layers of film to a 1.25m bale in about 18 seconds, or six layers in under 25 seconds. It’s designed to wrap bales from 1.1m to 1.45m. The unit features integrated film break sensors, which pick up disruptions in film supply and alert the operator.
