OCE engineering from Kildimo in Limerick is bringing something big to this year’s ploughing. A 5.4m (19ft) silage fork to be precise.
This has been built for a customer in Germany for use on a bio-gas plant. It will be fitted to a large Volvo loading shovel and comes with 1.88m (6ft 2in) tines.
According to John O’Connor of O’ Connor Engineering, despite its size, the fork still folds to less than 2.7 metres for transport.

John will also have an 8m3 high tip bucket on display. He says this is designed for the largest of applications such as grain handling facilities or bio-gas plants where moving large volumes of material in each pass is important. This model is destined for a customer in the Netherlands.
