Amazone has introduced a novel tramline placement feature called EasyTram which determines tramline placement based on application maps.
The EasyTram feature is available on all Amazone seed drills equipped with MultiSwitch single row control.
The system opens up many possibilities, including the possibility of sowing on the angle for more erosion protection on inclines to sowing in a direction independent of the tramlines.
EasyTram also demonstrates its advantages when sowing crops at low seed rates, such as oil seed rape. Sowing on the angle with shut-off directly at the tramline reduces the number of plants run over during crop care operations and also maximises plant distribution. In many situations it was previously not possible to sow at an angle and create tramlines at the same time.
In such situations, being able to now create tramlines while sowing at ab angle can save an average of 3% on seed (and fertiliser if used during sowing).
Through EasyTram application maps can be easily generated for the tramlines via browser access to the AmaConnect data platform. Using the plug and play principle, the application maps generated can be transferred easily to the tractor's operator terminal.
With the precise area information, GPS guidelines, A-B lines and curve lines can integrated into the EasyTram application map, the navigation aids are not only there for the operator planting but the sprayer operator too when applying pre-emergence sprays.
