Amazone has introduced a number of new updates to its ZG-TX combination spreader, designed to improve accuracy and ease operation when spreading fertiliser and lime.
The main upgrades include an integrated weighing system and the FlowControl automatic rate control system for lime spreading.
The system uses two weigh cells mounted between the axle and frame, along with a sensor in the drawbar, to continuously measure the load.
All information is displayed on the Isobus terminal.
In combination with the optional work lights, the system can also help during filling.
A flash light indicates the hopper fill level and shows when the target weight has been reached, helping operators avoid overfilling.
Once a known amount has been spread, the Isobus integrated weigh system checks the hopper weight and automatically calculates the calibration factor.
According to Amazone, this removes the need to manually measure bulk density and helps ensure accurate application across a wider range of products.
FlowControl for lime
Another new feature is FlowControl automatic spread rate regulation for lime.
Newly developed gearboxes mean that the system can now use torque measurement technology, which has already proven effective in fertiliser spreading applications.
Operators enter the target application rate and FlowControl automatically monitors and adjusts material flow during operation.
The new weighing system and FlowControl technology are now available on all Isobus equipped ZG-TX models, including the ZG-TX Super, with a maximum permissible weight of 21t, and the ZG-TX Special, which has a maximum permissible weight of 12.5t.
