Weidemann has updated its T4512 compact telehandler with the addition of a new drive system and Stage V engine. The cab now offers a higher level of specification too

The updated T4512 continues to use Yanmar engines, with two different versions available. The smaller version sees a power decrease from 31hp to 25hp, therefor does not require after-treatment, while the larger engine churns out 45hp, 5hp more than its predecessor, requiring after-treatment.

Even with the power decrease on the smaller engine, the firm says performance has been increased due to the new ecDrive (Electric Control Drive). Four different drive modes are now offered, with auto mode ensuring full performance. Two modes are suited for use with hydraulic attachments, while the fourth is an Eco mode.

The smaller engine option is only available with a 20km/h transmission while the larger option is available in 20km/h or 30km/h variants. Hydraulic tank capacity has been increased to 33l with the 28.6l/min pump available as standard, although 42l/min or 70l/min pump options are available.

A new electric handbrake provides an auto-hold and hill-hold function. Once the operator leaves the cab or if left in neutral, the brake is automatically applied. The T4512 now offers four-wheel steer and crab steering options.

A 25hp or 45hp Yanmar engine can be specified.

Outside the cab, the T4512 has benefited from modern styling, the bonnet has been sloped and roof window enlarged to improve visibility. Rear and roof wipers are now offered as standard. Inside the cab are improvements which include a new heating system with the option of air conditioning. A fold-down storage armrest and a drinks holder has been added, while the option of a radio and USB port is also available.
