First look at Abbey Machinery's three new launches for Ploughing 2026

Abbey Machinery is returning to this year’s National Ploughing Championships to launch three new additions to its slurry and feed equipment ranges.

Making their debut at this year’s event in Screggan, Co Offaly, will be two new slurry tanker models – a 2,500 gallon stepped axle model and a 5,600 gallon tri-axle model – alongside the new VF4000 tri-auger diet feeder.

The 5,600 gallon tri-axle tank features a wider dished end and a shorter barrel length, delivering substantial capacity in a more compact tank profile.

It will be fitted with Abbey’s 12m dribble bar.

The new 2,500 gallon stepped axle tanker expands Abbey’s stepped axle offering to its largest capacity to date, offering a lower overall height and a lower centre of gravity for improved stability. The unit in question will be fitted with 800/65 R32 tyres.

The firm’s diet feeders set to be present on the stand includes the new VF4000 Tri-Auger Diet Feeder.

With a 40m³ capacity, the VF4000 has been developed for large-scale livestock operations, requiring greater capacity. Other machines set to be present on the stand to showcase a taster of Abbey’s extensive range include a 4,000 gallon recessed tandem axle tanker, 2,050 gallon Premium range single axle tanker, 10.2m Agri Pro trailing shoe, a 7.7m Agri Pro applicator.

A selection of diet feeders, including the VF1500, VF1900 and VF2650, single and twin auger machines, will appear alongside the new 40m3 VF4000 tri-auger machine.

Grassland and farm equipment such as the 8ft Maxi Float topper, HPA100 and PA700 fertiliser spreaders and bale shears will be on display, alongside the Tornado 5000 and 4000 slurry agitators.

This year’s National Ploughing Championships also mark the beginning of an important period for Abbey Machinery, as the company prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2027.
