The two larger models feature double folding booms for a low transport height.

Carlow-based machinery manufacturer HiSpec recently complemented its well-known tanker range with the introduction of its own trailing shoe system, designed and developed in-house. The trailing shoe is available in four working widths, 6m, 7.5m, 9m and 10.5m.
The three larger models feature double folding booms for a reduced overall transport height. This leaves the trailing shoe no higher than the firm’s standard 2,600-gallon tanker.
The tanker’s axle has been moved backwards to support the weight of the chassis-mounted mast. The firm says this allows for optimum balance and support. Both rear fill points and splash plate are also still accessible.

At the centre of the system is the Vogelsang Exacut taking care of slurry distribution to the outlet hoses. The position of the rear stone trap allows the tanker to be filled manually or using the splash plate if a spool at the rear of the tractor is moved.
New in-house trailing shoe from HiSpec is available in three working widths, 6m, 7.5m and 9m.
Self-levelling
The largest 9m model is equipped with a hydraulic self-levelling feature. HiSpec says that when working on sloping terrain the unit levels itself so that pressure on the outer shoes is reduced and kept even across the full working width.
The trailing shoe has been designed to be used as a dribble bar if necessary by keeping the mast raised off the ground. All units are galvanised and come fitted with LED lights as standard.
