A new outlet equipped with the latest technology and full workshop facilities has been opened at Kileighter, Kilcock, Co Kildare under the name Meath Farm Machinery Ltd (Kildare).

“We are very pleased to have this opportunity to expand the business from our existing base in Co Meath and Co Cavan, as part of John Deere’s Dealer of Tomorrow initiative,” said joint dealer principal Ian Timmons.

“We have taken on Lyons and Burton’s service manager Gary Ryan to provide continuity of service support, both on-farm and from the new premises, which will be stocking a comprehensive range of parts and consumable items. Gary will be working alongside our trained parts, sales and service team and will be joined by new sales and parts staff to deliver a high quality, value for money service to existing and new customers in the area,” added Ian Timmons.

Meath Farm Machinery opened its first branch at Kilberry, Navan, Co Meath in 1979. The business expanded into Bailieborough, Co Cavan in 2006, covering Cavan, Monaghan and the surrounding areas. Peter Timmons, assisted by his son Ian and daughter Nicola, now employs 23 staff in the family-run business which this year celebrated 33 years of trading.
