Polaris’ affordable Ranger 500 to make Ploughing debut

Polaris Ireland is set to attend this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Tullamore where it will debut the latest Ranger 500 UTV.

Launched earlier this year, the new Ranger 500 has been brought to market for those in search of a compact, budget-friendly UTV that bridges the gap between an ATV and full-size UTV while being able to compete head-to-head on price against Chinese-built machines.

The Ranger 500 is equipped with the Polaris 567cc petrol engine that delivers 28hp. Key features include a gas-assisted cargo dump box capable of carrying 227kg. Meanwhile, the Ranger 500 offers a 680kg-rated towing capacity. It features on-demand all-wheel-drive and VersaTrac Turf Mode, which unlocks the rear differential to prevent damage to sensitive grass areas.

Irish and UK models come with a protective roof and a 1,134kg winch as standard. Polaris Ireland will also exhibit a selection of diesel and petrol full-size UTVs alongside the Sportsman ATV range and Polaris youth models as well as a range of accessories and vehicle solutions.
