Pöttinger Ireland, a subsidiary of Pöttinger Landtechnik GmbH, officially opened its new premises at Clonmel, Co Tipperary on Tuesday, 14 January. Peter Thomas Keaveney reports.

Pöttinger Ireland, a subsidiary of Pöttinger Landtechnik GmbH, officially opened its new premises at Clonmel, Co Tipperary, on Tuesday 14 January.
The new 690m2 premises will be home to seven full-time employees. The 1ac site will be used for dealer training, administration, parts dispatch and customer training.
The company said: “We see the need not just for dealer training, but customer training going forward. This is to help our customers to get the most from their machines, especially with all the recent technical developments in our product offering.”

Pöttinger machines have been working in Ireland for more than 40 years now. The company has 15 dealers throughout the country that operate across 17 outlets.
Managing director of Pöttinger Ireland Diarmuid Claridge explained: “The significant investment in this new premises by the Pöttinger family shows that the company isn’t just playing with the marketplace in Ireland, it proves that we’re here to stay.
“This new premises is a foundation for Pöttinger’s future growth in Ireland.”
