Irish Pony Society members kicked off their season last week as large numbers travelling to Wexford Equestrian to take part the Dengie Spring Spectacular.
Judge Mary Carter found her supreme champion in Amber Marnane and Sharlen Gone With The Wind. Standing reserve was Ciara O’Connor who was on her first official outing off the lead rein with Linksbury Goldilocks.
Marnane and Sharlen Gone With The Wind had impressed earlier when claiming the open 138cms show pony class before going on to be crowned champion show pony.

Ciara O’Connor and Linksbury Goldilocks made a clean sweep of it, winning show hunter first ridden, mini show hunter Champion first-year cradle stakes, and the mini working hunter pony championships.
Meanwhile, the show hunter champion was awarded to novice show hunter winner Victoria Burns and her new mount Newoak Onyx.
