Massey Ferguson has unveiled its latest TH telehandler series.

The latest generation comprises six models, ranging in lift capacities from 3,000kg to 4,300kg and lift heights between 6m and 7.5m.

Two of them are semi-compact models (TH 6030 and TH 7030) and there are four standard machines (TH 6534, TH 7035, TH 7038 and the TH 8043).

Horsepowers range from 100hp to 135hp, while the three larger TH models are powered by Stage V engines and are equipped with 190l/min load-sensing hydraulics. The two semi-compact models feature 100l/min hydraulics.

The side bonnet is now slimmer, providing better visibility towards the right-hand rear wheel.

Inside the cab is where the most recognisable changes occur. The latest generation has been designed to follow the neo-retro look of the 8S tractor series.

Structurally, the cab benefits from a more rounded, asymmetric design, with access made easier through the now wider door.

An air-suspended seat is fitted as standard, with a heated option available. The firm has also said that the cab is up to 2 to 3dBA quieter.

All models come as standard with Massey’s power control lever, exactly the same as that on all MF tractors. It acts as a shuttle lever, but is also used to shift the four hydrostatic speed ranges up and down.

A 5in colour terminal is offered as standard for the display of operating information and selection of steering modes, which includes a new crab setting.

The option of upgrading to a 7in is there. In addition, this allows changes to be made to the hydraulic and work-related settings.

A Bluetooth radio is also integrated into the terminal.

Horsepowers across the six models range from 100hp to 135hp.

New joystick

A newly designed armrest-suspended joystick is claimed to require 20% less effort over the old model. A bucket-shake option has been added and is controlled by a button on the joystick.

Directional changes can also be made from the joystick via a three-way rocker switch. Behind the joystick is a control pad to navigate between screens and to control the radio.

All models are fitted with the same hydrostatic transmission, which now offers the ability of setting a desired speed, after which the pedal is used to vary travel speed.

A hand throttle has been added to all models, meaning engine speed can be set, with the foot pedal then used to vary travel speed. The dynamic drive feature allows operators to make changes to shuttle and throttle response, as well as the speed in which the transmission responds to match the application.
