I see Kerry boss Stan McCarthy cashed in some of his chips this week after he unloaded almost 45,600 of his shares in the Kerry Group for more than €79 apiece for a cool €3.6m. With Kerry shares hitting record prices this year after another strong financial year performance in 2015, McCarthy must have felt it was a good time to divest some of his stock.
Despite offloading a good chunk of stock, the group’s long-term incentive plan means McCarthy received a further 23,500 shares, leaving him with more than 127,000 shares in the group. At today’s closing share price of €79.80, McCarthy is sitting on a nest egg of more than €10m.
