McCormick launched a new range of four-cylinder tractors at the show.

The X7 Series P6-Drive tractors represent higher-spec four-cylinder tractors with maximum power outputs from 141hp to 176hp.

These tractors have a power boost on all models and a new powershift transmission.

The X7 Series are powered by a 4.5-litre BetaPower FPT Industrial engine.

This engine uses SCR and DOC to meet the emissions regulations.

The transmission has 30 forward and 15 reverse speeds with the standard transmission format of 54 forward and 27 reverse with the creep option

The series come with the option of three transmission options – the P6-Drive Efficient (powershift), the P6 Drive Premium (powershift) and the VT-Drive Premium (CVT).

The P6-Drive transmission is new to the four-cylinder X7 Series, but it has been in the six-cylinder X7 Series for the past year.

This transmission has six powershift steps instead of four, offering more ratios.

The transmission has 30 forward and 15 reverse speeds with the standard transmission format of 54 forward and 27 reverse with the creep option.

All X7.4 Series tractors include a 123-litre/min piston pumps hydraulics system, which on Efficient versions can be exchanged for a lower-cost 88-litre/min open-centre gear pump setup.

A separate 44-litre/min pump is dedicated to the steering and ancillaries such as the four-wheel drive and PTO clutches, while four-speed PTO provides power and economy gearing for both 540rpm and 1000rpm shaft speeds.

All versions can be upgraded to 50km/h with a suspension and air trailer braking package but 40km/h versions can also have mechanical cab suspension alone or in combination with an independent wishbone front axle suspension design.
