Longwood/Killyon Macra’s Mr and Mrs night: six couples will battle it out in a humorous quiz to determine which pair knows the most about one another from 8pm on Saturday 6 February in the Castle Arch Hotel, Trim. Ticket prices are €10, with all proceeds to be divided between Longwood/Killyon Macra and The Irish Kidney Foundation. Tickets are available from Jackie or at the door on the night. With food and a raffle, it’s sure to be a bit of craic and it’s all for a good cause.
The Offaly Macra young farmer development group will host an information night at 8pm on Tuesday 9 February in The Bridge House. There will be an informative session on CAP, TAMS, the national reserve and climate change. Derrie Dillon, national agricultural and rural affairs manager is guest speaker.
Roscommon Macra will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Saturday 13 February. The gathering will take place in the Abbey Hotel Roscommon and it’s shaping up to be a memorable night. There will be dinner and entertainment by the band Charade. Most importantly, it will be an opportunity for past and present members to meet and take a trip down memory lane.
