Kilmeen Macra, Carbery, Co Cork became Macra na Feirme All-Ireland drama champions in Imokily, Co Cork, last weekend.
The team held off the challenge of the Kinsale and Freemount Macra clubs who finished runners-up in the two-day event held over Saturday and Sunday in Aghada Hall.
Lisa Lucey from Freemount Macra won best actress and Eoin O’Donovan of Kinsale Macra took home best actor. Annie Galligan of Ramor Macra was awarded best supporting actress and Adrian Grace of winning club Kilmeen was best supporting actor.

Mike Crowley of Kilmeen won best director. Speaking at the presentation, Macra na Feirme national president Seán Finan said: ‘‘This was a fantastic event, which really showed the wonderful diversity we have in all our competitions in Macra na Feirme. All competitors were a great credit to their clubs and I would like to particularly congratulate Kilmeen Macra on their great performance and victory.’’
