Recently, a number of Dorset sheep breeders came together to form the Southern Ireland Dorset Sheep Breeders club.
This club is now preparing to hold its first official sale, which takes place this Friday 7 August in Tullamore at 6.30pm.
The sale will consist of 42 lots in total, made up of of 19 females and 23 males. While most will be polled, there will also be a selection of horned breeds on offer.

The Dorset sale will be run in conjunction with a number of other breeds. The Irish Jacob Society will have 55 sheep present on the night, along with 20 Hampshire Downs and a limited number of Kerry Hills. These sheep will be sold earlier, at 5pm.
