The Limerick-based Portauns Pedigree herd is currently preparing for a production sale of pedigree Angus breeding females.

Having held a successful sale in 2025 at Mid-Tipp Mart, this year’s sale will take place online from 4 to 7 September, through Mid-Tipp Mart and MartEye.

Consigned in the sale are 17 maiden heifers, sired by bulls such as Fellfort Magic, Portanes Vigourous, Kealkil Prime Lad and Liss Mandrin.

All of the heifers carry four- or five-star replacement indices, with values as high as €206.

The breeding policy of the herd has always been to produce quality cattle with performance, proper Angus character and, most importantly, calving ease.

All the heifers in the sale carry those very traits, meaning buyers can expect heifers with quality, type and performance which can breed cattle suitable for any system, especially the easy calving dairy market.

Perspective buyers will have the opportunity to view the cattle on farm at V35NY94, on Saturday 5 September from 1pm to 5pm.
