The Police are appealing for information after two sheep were killed by a dog on Skye. The incident occurred last Friday afternoon in the Glenbrittle area, 5 January. A large dog, black and tan in colour, was seen in the area at the time. Police are keen to speak to the driver of a green Land Rover, which was also seen at the time.
“Livestock owners are legally entitled to protect their animals as necessary, which can result in the destruction of the dog if necessary to protect the lives of other animals,” Sergeant Andrew Shaw said.
Anyone with information on the incident on Skye can contact Police Scotland on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
