Jason Hawkins has been appointed as the new chief executive of the Carbery Group.
Hawkins will succeed Dan MacSweeney, who is set to retire after 25 years as CEO at the end of the year. MacSweeney joined the group 38 years ago.
Under his leadership the group has expanded to employ close to 600 people, operating from eight locations including, the UK, USA, Brazil and Thailand with a turnover of €340m and profits of €37m in 2016.

Hawkins will take up his new role from 1 January 2018.
Hailing from Tralee, Co Kerry, Hawkins is currently chief operating officer with Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and spent most of his career with the Kerry Group.
