Weidemann in Germany invited its Irish dealers to its factory and headquarters in Germany to showcase its new models, which are due to be launched in Ireland in May at both the Balmoral Show, Maze, Co Antrim, from 14 to 16 May and at the FTMTA Grass & Muck event at Gurteen Agricultural College, Roscrea, Co Tipperary.

There will be four new models in the Weidemann range, which is imported by Wilsons of Rathkenny, Co Antrim.

Two new telehandler models

The new Weidemann T4108 telehandler is one of two new models from the telehandler range. This machine has a lifting height of 4.1m and can lift 0.8t. It comes with hydrostatic drive and a top speed of 20km/h.

This machine is 2.717m long (without attachments), 1.413m wide and 1.9m high, plus it has all-wheel steering, making it useful for working in small areas.

The T5522 is the other new model from the Weidemann telehandler range. This machine has a lifting height of 5.5m and can lift 2.2t. It also comes with hydrostatic drive and its top speed is 20km/h.

The T5522 also comes with all-wheel steering, crab steering and front-drum steering, making it very manoeuvrable in tight spaces. This machine is 3.747m long (without attachments), 1.808m wide and 1.95m high.

Like all Weidemann telehandlers, both of the machines come with the Vertical Lift System (VLS), which allows loads to remain at a constant distance from the machine when raising or lowering the boom.

New wheeled loader options

There are two new wheeled loader models – the Weidemann 4080 and the 5080 models. The new 4080 model comes as either a wheel loader or tele-wheel loader option. This machine is powered by a 102hp Perkins water-cooled and intercooled four-cylinder diesel engine.

The 4080 wheel loader is 4.886m long (without attachments), 1.81m wide (on standard tyres) and 2.679m high (on standard tyres). It has a lifting height of 3.671m.

The 4080 tele-wheel loader is 5.2m long (without attachments), 1.827m wide (on standard tyres) and 2.679m high (on standard tyres). It has a lifting height of 5.076m.

The new and bigger Weidemann 5080 model also comes as either a wheel loader or tele-wheel loader. Power for the 5080 comes from 117hp Perkins water-cooled and intercooled four-cylinder diesel engine.

The 5080 wheel loader is 4.886m long (without attachments), 1.99m wide (on standard tyres) and 2.694m high (on standard tyres). It has a lifting height of 3.686m.

The 5080 tele-wheel loader is 5.2m long (without attachments), 1.99m wide (on standard tyres) and 2.694m high (on standard tyres). It has a lifting height of 5.091m.
