The intern will receive training in 'following online maps' and 'evaluating how to maximise the potential of schemes for the farmer client'.

No experience is required for the position, though applicants will require a third level agriculture qualification.

For the nine month role, the intern will receive €50 on top of their jobseeker's allowance. By completion, the successful candidate will have gained skills in 'advising farmers and preparing farm plans for submission to DAFM, answering phones, dealing with farmers face-to-face, dealing with queries'.

The job spec also states that they should be 'competent as a farm planner' by the end of the internship.
