I was at the Guild of Agricultural Journalists awards in Castleknock Hotel last Friday to see three of my Journal colleagues take home gongs.
Peter Young won the best targeted communications award for his coverage of the Common Agricultural Policy.
Pat O’Keeffe won in the best online category for his Dairy Oasis video on the Almarai farm in Saudi Arabia.

Valerie O’Sullivan won best photograph for her photo of a farmer in the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks in Kerry.
