I’m told that National Dairy Council’s (NDC) CEO Emma Walls and chair Eamonn Carroll have been travelling the highways and byways meeting the dairy co-op boards this summer.

There are two notable absentees on the council’s membership list; Drinagh Co-op and Lakeland Dairies.

Their suppliers don’t pay the 0.07c/l NDC levy which equates to roughly €350 for a 100-cow farmer.
