Eamonn O’Malley has left his position as general manager of LacPatrick’s Artigarvan plant last week, five months after the grand opening of the co-op’s flagship £30m new drier. Michael Lyttle now runs LacPatrick’s three plants. The co-op said O’Malley’s departure from the business had nothing whatsoever to do with the operation of its new facility and would not give an official reason for his exit 18 months into the job. I was unable to contact the man himself, and not all board members knew about the change.
