You have to admit, the Department of Agriculture’s IT system is constant when it comes to delays in accepting scheme applications from partnerships.
When a new scheme opens farmers with a single name on their herd number can apply straight away, but if you’re in a farm partnership, there always seems to be a time delay.
The Dealer received a few calls from farmers in partnerships who, when they tried to apply for the 2025 National Beef Welfare Scheme as recently as Monday, were unable to proceed. By the middle of the week this was rectified but why does it always happen?
