The average price of land in the Netherlands is presently €43,927/ac. Arable land there is close to €50,000/ac while grass land averaged €34.980/ac.

Compiled by the Dutch Land Registry and Wageningen Social and Economic Research, the figures were an eyeopener. I flicked through the Irish Farmers Journal Land Report 2026 to see that the average price in Ireland last year was €12,876/ac. The Dealer won’t be relocating to the Netherlands in a hurry.
