Doireann O'Connor and her father Charley have set off on a journey of a lifetime, travelling from Malin to Mizen Head in a tractor.
Doireann has used her social media platform to highlight the event, which is in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation and the Cuisle Cancer Support.
After having a triple by-pass some years ago, Charley told social media that he wanted to give something back to charity.
"I'm only doing it because I'm so well and I was so bad," he said.
Route
The pair took off in their Mercedez Benz MB-trac on Thursday 31 July from Malin Head and travelled from there to Sligo, covering 185km on the first day of their journey.
On Friday they went from Sligo to Gort, through the towns of Tobercurry, Charlestown, Kilkelly, Knock, Claremorris and Corrofin.
On Saturday –day three of their drive – Charley and Doireann went from from Gort to Charleville.
As part of Sunday's route, they will travel 88km from Charleville to Ahiohill, where they will be taking part in a vintage silage making event.
From there, on Monday they will embark on the final leg of their journey to Mizen Head, heading through Dunmanway, Durrus and Goleen, before arriving at their final destination.
So far, over €10,000 has been raised through their GoFundMe page.
"Charley, is self confessed 'no spring chicken', and it’s been his dream for years to drive a tractor the length of Ireland – from Malin Head to Mizen Head – not just for the adventure, but to support two incredible charities," Doireann said.
"This trip is about heart – literally and figuratively. We’re raising funds in honour of the many people we love and have lost, and for those still fighting," she added.
