Man, 90s, killed in Leitrim farming incident

A man aged in his 90s was killed in a farming-related incident in Aughawillian, Garadice, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, gardaí have confirmed.

The fatality occurred on Tuesday 11 August.

Gardaí and emergency services said they attended the scene of a work place accident at approximately 4.40pm.

“A male, aged in his 90s was fatally injured and his body has since been removed from the scene to the mortuary where a post mortem will take place.”

A file will be prepared for the coroners court, gardaí have said.
